SPECIFICATION
ASTM D2466
This specification covers poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) Schedule40 pipe fittings. Included are requirements for materials, workmanship, dimensions, and burst pressure.
ASTM D1784
This specification covers rigid PVC and CPVC compounds intended for general purpose use in extruded or molded form-including pressure piping applications and nonpressure piping applications-composed of poly(vinyl chloride), chlorinated poly(vinyl chloride), or vinyl chloride copolymers containing at least 80 % vinyl chloride, and the necessary compounding ingredients. The compounding ingredients shall be permitted to consist of lubricants, stabilizers, non-poly(vinyl chloride) resin modifiers, pigments, and inorganic filters.
CSA B181.2
This standard covers thermoplastic nonpressure piping, including
(a) Drain, waste, and vent pipe and pipe fittings;
(b) Sewer and storm pipe and pipe fittings;
(c) Accessories such as factory-assembled expansion joints, closet flanges, backwater valves, and cleanouts.
ASTM D2665
This specification covers requirements and test methods for materials, dimensions and tolerances, pipe stiffness, crush resistance, impact resistance and solvent cement for poly(vinyl chloride) plastic drain, waste, and vent pipe and fittings. A form of making is also included. Plastic which does not meet the material requirements specified in Section 5 is excluded. Installation procedures are given in the Appendix.
